The Internal Medicine Society is a student interest group of the American College of Physicians – American Society of Internal Medicine, herein referred to as ACP-ASIM, and is subject to the rules and regulations of this body as well as to the organizational policies and procedures of Howard University and the College of Medicine.
IMS shall:
Promote communication among members and faculty.
Obtain and provide information about careers in internal medicine.
Promote the profession of internal medicine.
Serve the medical school and campus.
Promote scholarly pursuit of excellence in the art of medicine.
